| An
amazing beautifully veneered circa 1830 English tortoiseshell etui. The
inside is fitted with ivory with tiny compartments for crochet hooks that are so small probably used for baby clothes or fine lace making. The top has red gold starred paper lining the inside, original hinge and closure while the outside top has a cartouche that has never been inscribed. Missing one crochet hook and has one small crack along a bottom edge on the thin side otherwise in fabulous condition. |
