outstanding original vivid Louis XVI silver gilt and ribbed silk brocade
of a deep vivacious magenta with bouquets of flowers woven within. The silver metal thread depicts bouquets of flowers and ribbons with bows with trailing sequins. Look closely at the ground of the ribbed silk and you’ll see hints of silver running throughout the ribs. Edged in an 18th century handmade silver metallic torchon lace, backed with antique purple/deep mauve silk velvet, finished with silver tassels at each corner. This color is not for the faint of heart! |
