Pair of all-antique pillows spanning three centuries of an Italian 17th century silk cut velvet panels with scrolling branches and leaves. Applied to an 18th century crimson silk velvet trimmed with a geometric 18th century gold metallic trim from Belgium. Finished with a 19th century gold metallic cording from Germany.

Antique silk velvet of this age wasn't made wider than 18" due to the expense of the looms. Due to this fact the backs on these pillows do have a seam in order to make the silk velvet wide enough for use.

Condition: Minor wear/rub to the silk velvet which is to be expected of something over 300 years old. No other problems here.

Priced as a pair but can be sold individually for $750.00 each.
