17th Century French Tapestry Fragment of a Cherub among Foliage
 
     
   
  A fun little cape cherub depicted on an early French 17th century tapestry fragment surrounded by fruit
and foliage. Farther enhanced on top and bottom with twining ribbons with central flowers. Edged on the
sides with a geometric metallic trim and fringe trim that have both tarnished to a coppery color, backed
with a light taupe silk velvet.

Condition: Bright clean colors with several ancient restorations and separations that are typical of a
fragment 400 years old.
